About this test
The urinalysis portion uses reagent-impregnated strips or tablets to evaluate chemical constituents in urine and their relationship to various disease states, alongside microscopic examination for abnormal cells and other formed elements. Quest lists a broad set of items this examination covers, including appearance and color, several chemical measures, and cellular and crystal findings seen under the microscope.
